Vision testing

Eyesight can change regularly. That’s why having your vision tested regularly is a good eye health decision.

Eye health examination

The health of your eyes is our top priority. When testing your vision, we’ll also perform tests for any signs of eye disorders, including glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.

We use Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to scan the back of your eye. This diagnostic equipment takes advanced 3D scans, allowing us to perform an accurate examination of the health of your eyes.

Lenses (long-sighted, short-sighted, multifocal)

If you suffer from myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, astigmatism or a combination, you have a refractive error. Whichever of these disorders you suffer from, your vision can be corrected with lenses tailored to your specific requirements. We also have a vast selection of lens coating options and tints for every occupational or leisure need.

Frame fitting and adjustments

We know it’s important that your glasses frames are a flawless fit, and millimetres count. Our expert staff are trained to ensure your frames sit comfortably and snugly, factoring in measurements you may not expect. These include the width of the bridge of your nose, length of your temples and the distance between your pupils. All of these measurements need to be right to make sure your glasses are the perfect fit.

Contact lens consultations

Before we can fit you with contact lenses, you’ll need an eye health examination to ensure they‘re right for you. We’ll then take you through your lens options and decide which ones are best for your needs.

Free general servicing of glasses

Glasses slipping? Lost a side screw or nose pad? Bring your spectacles into your Westfund Eye Care Centre. We’ll do our best to fix them, free of charge. We’re even happy for you to bring them in for a good cleaning.

Tools and information

If you need any information about eye health, we’re here to help. We can also provide you with in-home tools such as Amsler Grids (for detecting macular degeneration).

Drivers licence eyesight reports

We can provide the necessary drivers licence eyesight reports such as an RMS Fitness to Drive report.
